Welcome to “Les Quintanes”, a charming and authentic chambres d'hotes in France.
“Les Quintanes” is an impressive, sympathetically restored,
charentaise country house from 1867 and in the past, served as a 'relais de
poste'.
After a thorough renovation in 2020, the main house,
retains all the original features and you will find yourself in a welcoming
oasis of cosiness, romance and a peaceful atmosphere. The perfect choice
for couples, families or singles.
The attractive garden and terrace invite you
to enjoy a glass of wine, a snack and of course the Charentaise sun.
During the summer months you can take a refreshing dip in the swimming pool.
“Les Quintanes” is located in the small and rural municipality
of Suaux (with just over 400 inhabitants) in south-west France, department of
Charente, arrondissement of Confolens.
The house has 3 guest rooms, 2 bathrooms, a spacious
living room with fireplace and dining area to linger in.

There are 3 guest rooms in the house, each with
its own character and touches.
Room 1 - Double room
Spacious but cosy room with comfortable double bed.
The private bathroom with toilet is located in
the corridor, opposite the room.
Room 2 - Double room with garden view
Spacious but cosy room with comfortable double bed overlooking the garden.
The private bathroom with toilet is located in
the hallway, opposite the room.
Room 3 - Double room
Spacious but cosy room with comfortable double bed.
Can only be booked in combination with room 1 or
2 or both, as this room does not have a private bathroom.

"Les Quintanes" is located in the rural municipality of Suaux,
Charente department, which is close to Angoulême (+/- 30km), Confolens (+/-
30km), Cognac (+/- 80km) and Limoges (+/- 60km).
In the wider vicinity are the cities of Périgeux
(+/- 110km), Bordeaux (+/- 140km), La Rochelle (+/- 160km) and Saint-Emilion
(+/- 130km).
The distance between Brussels and Suaux is about
760km. From Brussels, you can also take the TGV to Angoulême.
In the department of the 'Charente' there are of
course plenty of activities such as eating out, cultural excursions, sports
activities, castles and lots of fun discoveries. Everyone will, no doubt,
find their thing here somewhere.
Angoulême
What you must see, do and taste while visiting Angoulême
are its ramparts, comic book museum, cathedral, murals, aperitif Pineau des
Charentes, local gastronomy, ...
Cognac
What you should definitely experience in the
land of the "Part of the Angels" are the great cognac houses with
their magnificent vineyards and accompanying tastings, ...
Confolens
What you should definitely visit to imagine
yourself back in time in the history of the Roman Empire are the city walls,
the fortress, old buildings and charming streets. Don't forget to take a walk
over the old bridge of the river "Vienne" here.
La Rochefoucauld
During your visit to the ancient and beautiful
"Château de La Rochefoucauld", it is possible to admire more than
twenty decorated rooms and a large collection of paintings.
Of course, sports enthusiasts as well as those
who want to spend their leisure time (differently)
will find a wide range on
offer.
